Instructions for Use

Climate Canada allows students to choose and interpret graphs about Canadian weather.

To use Climate in Canada, scroll down under “Climate Graphs for each capital city” under “CLIMATE AND CLIMATE GRAPHS” and click on one of the 4 regions listed, e.g. “Prairies & B.C”. A table with 3 columns appears at the centre. Choose a City/Province in the left column and click on its “Climate Graph” in the right column. Write 3 interpretations about the graph. Change the scales on the graph and redraw it on paper. How do the changes affect the appearance of the graph? Now click on the climate graphs of 2 other Canadian locations in 2 different regions and write statements comparing the temperature and precipitation information that you gather from each.
