## CHAPTER 4: DATA RELATIONSHIPS

### Lesson 3: Interpreting and Comparing Bar Graphs

Goal

Interpret and compare bar graphs that use different scales.

Instructions for Use

To use Bar Graph, look at the bar graph that displays and then scroll down to see the various choices that you can change such as bar width, scale, and colour; graph, x, and y-axis titles; and data set. You can also enter and graph your own data by clicking on “Clear Data” and typing in each number in your data set, followed by a comma and the name of the item on a separate line. For example, type “7, oranges” to have the program display a bar with a value of “7” and the title “oranges”. When finished, click on “Graph Data” to see your results.
