Instructions for Use

Saxon Math - Rectangular Area allows your child to demonstrate an understanding of area

To use Saxon Math - Rectangular Area, look at the rectangle shown on the screen. Select the area that corresponds to the area of the rectangle by clicking on one of the options in the white boxes at the bottom of the screen. If you are correct, a new rectangle and options will come up on the screen. If you are not correct, you will have another chance to answer the question.

Exploring Area allows your child to determine and record area.

To use Exploring Area, click on “recording sheet” to print out the worksheet for the activity. Work through the seven questions on the worksheet to explore how area changes depending on length and width.

Finding the Area of a Rectangle allows your child to demonstrate an understanding of area of regular and irregular shapes.

To use Finding the Area of a Rectangle, read the instructions and answer a series of questions which check your understanding of area.
