**Lesson 10: Skip Counting from Any Number**

Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about skip counting from any number. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Skip count by 2s, 5s, 10s, and 100s from any number.

**Instructions for Use**

Doodle Dots has students skip count by 2s and 5s from various numbers to connect the dots and complete a picture. Note that Levels 1 and 2 are appropriate for this lesson. If possible, turn on the sound so students can hear interesting facts about inventions.

Click “Get Started” to begin. Starting by clicking on the number at the green dot, skip count on by 2s to connect the dots and complete the picture. When complete, click “Next Puzzle” to continue to the next puzzle. Click “Level 2” to skip count by 5s.

Super Sequencer allows students to skip count by any number, starting at any number.

Type in a starting number. Then type in the “Increment,” which is number that you would like to skip count by (2, 5, 10, or 100). Choose a speed to view the sequence at. You may want to choose “Slow” and try saying the next number before it appears. You may also want to record the numbers on a piece of paper as they appear. Click the pause button in the middle to stop the sequence or the back button (<<) to try skip counting by another number.
