Lesson 4: Describing Decreasing Patterns

Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about decreasing patterns. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Describe how a decreasing pattern gets smaller, and continue the pattern.

Instructions for Use

Spooky Sequences 2s prompts students to identify patterns decreasing by 2s and continue them.

 

Click “Begin” to start, and then look at the decreasing pattern on the ghosts. Identify the pattern, then click the number buttons at the bottom of the screen to fill in the missing number on the ghost, then click the “Enter” button. If you click the wrong number button by mistake, you can click the “C” button to make a correction. If your answer is correct, the ghosts are sent back to the haunted house.
