Instructions for Use

Number Patterns and Rules prompts students to identify pattern rules for given patterns. Students match patterns and pattern rules by drawing lines between the matches. Note that the numbers may be a bit high for some students.

Click a box containing a pattern in the left-hand column. Then click the box in the right-hand column that contains the matching pattern rule. After you have completed 2 sets of matches, you can make a sound pattern on a virtual drum set.

Crack Hacker's Safe asks students to continue shape, number, and colour patterns to open a safe. Note that students may need support with the first pattern since it does not increase by the same number each time.

Click “Start” to begin. Look at the pattern at the top of the screen. Then select the shape, number, and colour to continue the pattern.
