**Lesson 5: Identifying Faces of 3-D Objects**

Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about identifying faces of 3-D objects. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Recognize and count the faces of 3-D objects.

**Instructions for Use**

Tracing and Naming Faces asks students to identify the number of faces of 3-D objects.

Click “Count Faces” and count the number of faces in the 3-D object shown. Click on the correct number of faces at the bottom right of the screen. Click “Count Faces” to try another problem.

Solid Figures and Plane Shapes asks students to identify the shapes of faces of 3-D objects.

Look at the face highlighted on the 3-D object. Click and drag the matching 2-D shape into the truck. Note that the shape may be a different size than the shape face inside the truck.
