Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about exploring 3-D objects. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use
Solid Figure Factory has students identify 3-D shapes.
Read the directions at the top of the screen. Click on the shape that is asked for. Wait to see what object comes out of the machine.
Tracing and Naming Faces has students name 3-D shapes and identify the shapes of the faces.
Click “Name Solid,” then click “Prism” or “Pyramid” below to name the shape. Look at the shape highlighted in red, then click the name of the face’s shape. Click “Name Solid” to do another problem.
Loading Shapes asks students to identify real-world objects that match shapes.
Look at the 3-D shape in the truck. Click and drag the object at the bottom of the screen that is the same shape into the truck. Note that the object may be a different size or direction than the shape in the truck.
