Lesson 5: Identifying Faces of 3-D Objects

Goal

Recognize and count the faces of 3-D objects.

Instructions for Use

Tracing and Naming Faces asks you to identify the number of faces of 3-D objects.

Click “Count Faces” and count the number of faces in the 3-D object shown. Click on the correct number of faces at the bottom right of the screen. Click “Count Faces” to try another problem.

Solid Figures and Plane Shapes asks you to identify the shapes of faces of 3-D objects.

Look at the face highlighted on the 3-D object. Click and drag the matching 2-D shape into the truck. Note that the shape may be a different size than the shape face inside the truck.
