Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about 3-D objects. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.
Goal
Create and describe a representation of a cube, cone, cylinder, or pyramid.

Instructions for Use
3-D Shapes allows student to become familiar with different three-dimensional objects and their attributes.
To use 3-D Shapes, place the image on a projector or an interactive whiteboard. Have students look at the different solids on the board and describe them. Students can then do a follow up activity where they build the 3-D shape using marshmallows and straws or modeling clay.
