Instructions for Use
3-D Shapes allows students to become familiar with different three-dimensional objects and their attributes.
To use 3-D Shapes, place the image on a projector or an interactive whiteboard. Have students look at the different solids in the image and describe them. Students can then do a follow-up activity where they build the 3-D shape using marshmallows and straws or modeling clay.
Geo Cleo is a great site for students to learn about 3-D solids. Go through this activity together with students because there is a lot of reading involved.
To use Geo Cleo, read through each screen as a mouse describes the different 3-D objects. You will be prompted to describe the different attributes of each object. Click the Next arrow to move on to the next screen.
