## CHAPTER 6: NUMBER TO 100

### Lesson 3: Even and Odd Numbers

Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about numbers up to 100. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

**Goal**

Demonstrate if a number to 100 is even or odd.

**Instructions for Use**

**Odd and Even** allows students to identify numbers as odd or even then sort them into the correct circle.

To use Odd and Even, scroll down and click on the Math link under the Classroom heading. On the next screen, click on Numbers from the list of topics at the top. Then click the Even and Odd activity. Select the Numbers to 100 activity by clicking on the orange button. Click and drag each number shown at the bottom into the correct circle: odd numbers into the Odd circle and even numbers into the Even circle. When you are done sorting the numbers, click the Check button. If they are incorrect, fix the error. If they are correct, click the Reset button to repeat the activity with a new set of numbers.

**Odd and Even Numbers** allows students to determine if the number of items shown is odd or even.

To use Odd and Even Numbers, scroll down and click on the Math link under the Classroom heading. On the next screen, click on Numbers from the list of topics at the top. Then click the second Even and Odd Numbers activity. Count the number of items for each question and select either odd or even. When each question is complete, click Submit to see your results. To play again, click Next.
