Lesson 1: Using Ordinal Numbers

Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about numbers to 50. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use

Squigly’s Apples lets students practice finding ordinal numbers to 10th.

To use Squigly's Apples, have students locate Squigly the worm in the line of apples. Count the number of apples from the left and answer the question, "Where is Squigly?" by clicking on the ordinal number. Click the "Next" button for a new question.

Ordinal Numbers provides students practice with ordinal numbers to 20th.

To Use Ordinal Numbers, read through the description of ordinal numbers then scroll down to the Practice section. Click “Start”. Select the ordinal number for the last O shown. If an incorrect answer is selected, the correct answer is shown. The total correct, incorrect, and percent correct are shown. When you have completed the activity, click “Report Totals to see your final score.
