**Lesson 8: Patterns on a 100 Chart**

Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about the patterns. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

**Instructions for Use**

**Interactive Calculator** allows students to recognize and create patterns on a 100 chart.

To use Interactive Calculator, start by pressing a number on the interactive calculator. This number will appear in the calculator window. Press the "+" button on the calculator, and then the same number again. Press the "=" button on the calculator. The growing pattern is shaded on the hundreds chart. Have students try making other patterns in the 100 chart.

**Follow the Pattern** provides student practice with continue a pattern of numbers.

To Use Follow the Pattern, click on “Unit 2: Numbers Through 100”. Next, select Lesson 6.2 under the heading "Chapter 6: Number Concepts and Patterns". Read the rules and click “Begin”. Select the missing numbers that fit the given pattern. Click “Check Your Answer”. A new pattern appears if your answer is correct or you try again if your answer is incorrect. Click “End the Quiz” to end the quiz and see your score.

**Find the Missing Number** provides student practice with continue a pattern of numbers.
