Instructions for Use

Colour Patterns is an interactive program that prompts students to fill in four colours in the pattern sequence.

To use Colour Patterns, click on the colours that follow the pattern sequence. Problems can be checked interactively by clicking the "Check Answer" button. Feedback is given for both correct and incorrect answers. Feedback for incorrect answers includes hints for students. To continue with the next problem, click the "New Problem" button.

Pattern Train lets students identify and extend patterns.

To use Pattern Train, have students practice completing patterns of shapes, numbers, or colours. To complete the pattern, drag the blocks onto the train. If a block does not belong where it is dropped, it will return to where it was picked up. Look for patterns either in the numbers, the shapes, or the colours.

Click the "New Problem" buttonto start a new train.
