Lesson 6: Locating Numbers on a Number Line

Goal

Place 4-digit numbers on a number line.

Instructions for Use

Guess the Number

To start Guess the Number, click on the first “Guess the Number” link. Type in a range of 0 to 9999, and then click on the green arrow button.

You will get chances to try to guess the number. Type in a number between 0 and 9999. With each guess you make, the range will become smaller. Try to find the number using the fewest guesses possible.

Ordering Four Digit Numbers

To start Ordering Four Digit Numbers, click on the “Comparing and Ordering Numbers” link under Fourth Grade – Topics, and then click on the “Ordering Four Digit Numbers” link.

You will be shown a number. You must try to guess where the number would fit. Try to beat the clock!
