Instructions for Use Place Values of Three Digit Numbers To start Place Values of Three Digit Numbers, click on the “Place Values” link under Fourth Grade – Topics, and then click on the “Place Values of Three Digit Numbers” link. This interactive game will tell you a number. You job is to correctly identify the digit at each place value. Scroll down to practice and click on the “Start” button. Type in your answer, and then click on the “check” button to check your answer. To start What’s Your Name, click on the “What’s Your Name” link in the list. This is a good review of different ways to represent numbers, including expanded form. You will walk through a review of expanded notation and standard notation. Finally, practice naming numbers in each way. Click on the brown arrow buttons to continue to the next page. To start Place Values – Expanded Form, click on the “Place Values” link under Fourth Grade – Topics, and then click on the “Place Values – Expanded Form” link. This is a good practice for expanded form. You will be given a number in expanded form. You will need to type in the number in standard form. Scroll down to practice and click on the “Start” button. Type in your answer, and then click on the “check” button to check your answer. To start Place Value Playoff!, click on the “Place Value Playoff!” link. There are three different games in one! You can pick either “Concentration”, “Matching” or “Word Search”. Each game requires you to match the standard notation to the expanded notation. |
