Lesson 2: Counting to 100

Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about number to 100. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Goal
Count forward and backward to 100 using a 100 chart.

Instructions for Use

Snakes and Ladders allows students to practice counting up using a 100 chart.

Choose 1 or 2 players. Click the die to roll it, and then move that number of places up the 100 chart. If you reach a ladder, you move up and if you reach a snake you slide down.

 

100 Chart Splat is an interactive 100 chart, which can be used for a variety of teacher-directed activities.

Click “Begin.” Choose a colour and use it to ‘splat’ the numbers on the 100 chart as you count forward or back from a certain number.
