Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs. Goal [C, Me, PS, R. V]
Instructions for Use Ten Frame allows students to practice counting, using 10 as a benchmark. Once they have answered the question “How many are there?” or “How many are empty?” ask students to write a subtraction sentence where the answer is the number of counters on the Ten Frame. For example if the Ten Frame shows 7 counters, a student would write 10 - 3 = 7. Look at the Ten Frame and answer the question at the top of the screen. Then write a subtraction sentence that describes the Ten Frame model.
