Instructions for Use
Sign of the Plus introduces students to the plus sign.
To use Sign of the Plus, listen to the song and watch the cartoon about addition and the addition sign.
Count Us In--Game 7 allows students to identify addition names for numbers using "and".
To play Count Us In, look at the number of kids you need to put on the bus.
Click and drag the correct number of kids onto the bus, placing the kids in any combination in the top and bottom rows of the bus.
Once the kids are sitting down on the bus, click the "Check Number" button to make the bus go.
If there are too few kids, continue to click and drag until you have the correct number. If there are too many kids, click on any kid to move them back to the sidewalk.
Paint by Number allows students to identify various numbers from their addition names.
To play Paint by Number, look at an addition sentence that is on a part of the picture.
Find the number on the right that the addition sentence describes.
Use your mouse to drag the number, and its corresponding colour, over to the addition sentence.
If the number is correct, that part of the picture will turn colour—painting the picture.
Continue until you have painted the whole picture.
Addition Concentration allows students to see various addition names matched with the numbers they describe.
Click on a card to reveal its value. Try to uncover matching pairs of cards.
Continue until all the pairs of cards have been revealed.
