Canadian and International News Sources

Politics In The News

Internet news sources range from Web sites provided by traditional media corporations and special Web-based news enterprises, to sites created by journalism schools or other individuals interested in covering news issues. In addition, the Internet offers some unique news-gathering opportunities in the form of dedicated news search engines and "push" services that deliver to individual users news stories just on their areas of interest. This section of the Nelson Political Science guide provides links to many different news sources.

Most major newspapers and magazines now offer selected stories from their current day's edition free on the Web for any user to read. There are also several Internet-based news providers. Some require a free registration to access their site, while others provide an expanded set of stories and services to paying subscribers. Some radio and TV broadcasters also provide video clips or simultaneous broadcasts over the Internet. Visit some of the following sites for an insight into the top stories of interest across Canada and around the world.
