About the Product

Created through a "student-tested, faculty-approved" review process, BUSN is an engaging and accessible solution to accommodate the diverse lifestyles of today's learners at a value-based price. BUSN offers comprehensive coverage of contemporary business topics in an engaging text and online solution. The second edition includes discussion of the impact of green business and marketing; corporate social responsibility and the inclusion of social media and cloud computing in the modern business world.

Features

  • Engaging Layout and Design - The hallmark of BUSN is a visually engaging design implemented with pedagogic sensibilities. Photos and graphics help the text come alive for visual learners and enrich the presentation of the material. Headers are easy to follow, allowing students to quickly identify the main concepts in the chapter and how they relate to each other.

  • “Chapter in Review” card for each Student Edition chapter. Twenty individual, detachable cards each contain all the pertinent review information from the corresponding chapter. Terms, definitions, section summaries, and important diagrams are all on one card for students to use as prompts as they study for the course. The first card shows students how to integrate the card into a well-rounded, layered study program.

  • Oops What were they Thinking?! – Mistakes may have serious consequences but they also offer good learning opportunities. Often amusing and always interesting these boxed features highlight some business miscues from companies.

  • Without a Map – These boxed features appear in every chapter and help bring to light some of the ethical issues and dilemmas faced by business people.

  • TechNotes – To help illustrate the pervasive impact of technology on business the TechNotes feature introduces discussion topics like social media and corporate hacking.

  • CourseMate provides instructors with all of the reporting tools needed to track student engagement, while students can access an interactive e-book and study tools in a dynamic, online learning environment. CourseMate comes automatically with this textbook.
