General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB)

General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB) is an occupationally-oriented multiple aptitude test published in association with Human Resources Development Canada and is based on Canadian Norms. GATB is designed for use in vocational counselling, rehabilitation, and occupational selection settings. The GATB profile of occupational aptitudes can be used to determine appropriate career and training paths. 
GATB measures nine distinct aptitudes:

  • G – General Learning Ability       
  • N – Numerical Aptitude
  • P – Form Perception
  • K – Motor Coordination
  • M – Manual Dexterity
  • V – Verbal Aptitude
  • S – Spatial Aptitude
  • Q – Clerical Perception
  • F – Finger Dexterity
